Thursday was not actually a part of my birthday, but it was a part of my weekend. I went into mad capped shop for my trip mode, and bought a swimsuit (I look like a fat little sausage) some beachy things, and stuff to take underwater pictures. Jules called me because she got out of work early and we shopped together and then met Jen for drinks and food. Meanwhile my wonderful boyfriend went and bought tickets to see Batman the next day at the Cinema de Lux where they have a digital theatre with assigned seating so you don't have to worry about lines.

Friday was my actual birthday. We got up early and met Will and Kat at the theatre to see Batman. (btw Will and Kat, congratulations again!) Dark Knight was perfection. It was so good I got chills. I will definitely be seeing it again in the theatre, and it is now in my top 5 favorites movies of all time. Heath Ledger was amazing. An absolutely perfect Joker.

Also, the preview for Watchmen was amazing. G-d they better not ruin the comic the way that every other Alan Moore comic has been ruined when in movie form. But I could actually recognize scenes in the movie as being almost perfectly similar to scenes in the comic and I'm hoping. I'm really hoping. They seem to have captured Dr. Manhattan, and The Comedian, and Rorschach very well. Ozymandias looks kind of rediculous but I can live with that. Oh please make this movie be awesome!

That night I met up with a bunch of girls for a ladies night to see Mama Mia and get dinner. Mama Mia was the polar opposite of Batman. It was like a delightful sorbet to cleanse the palate. I liked it alot, although Pierce Brosnan cannot sing even a little bit.

The next day, Dave and I went shopping for the trip some more. We went into Best Buy to look for headphones for him, and while there I discovered that the had some Wii Fits in stock so we ended up buying one. YAY!. I love it so far, though it made my Mii rather large and fat. Oh well. I'll just have to use the fit every day until my Mii shrinks.

That night I met up with a bunch of friends at Me Jana to celebrate my birthday more, eat tasty food and drink. I thought it was very fun. After that we hit a bar or two, and then Dave and I retired at the house to watch the UFC fight that I had tivo'd. All in all this was a fabulous weekend.
